I didn't feel like giving a proper title, or thinking of one for that matter.

Well, school's out and summer vacation has started. I start my summer job sooner than I thought I would, this week in fact, go figure. I bought five books today from Barnes and Noble: "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Castle in the Air" by Diana Wynne Jones and the first three books in a series by Laurie R. King about Sherlock Holmes and (her character) Mary Russel. I love the Howl book, I borrowed it from my teacher and just had to own it; when I found out about another book, Castle in the Air, I had to have it, too!

Me, my mom, and her boyfriend, John, took my two nephews (9 & 4) and niece (3) on a wagon ride with his four-wheeler (ATV to some...); they were hoping to put them to sleep (mainly my niece, Pookie) but John took us through the woods (it was 10:00 at night) which only wound them up some more (including me, it was creepy...we have critters like bears and bobcats and coyotes in our woods around here, and last year our band director got attacked by a rabid bobcat while biking on a public bike trail [the bobcat was cornered and killed before it could hurt anyone else, and our band director did not get rabies, thank God]). I thought: "it would make more sense, if the objective is to put them to sleep, to just drive up and down the lane a couple of times and bore the little stinkers to sleep, not wind them up by going into the woods!" but there's just no reasoning with John sometimes -_-;
